About Us
This is Raven from the podunk countryside of South China. I grew up in a countryside which made a living by handmade products. My Grandpa was a designer and businessman who has been trading handmade products from our town to all over the world. I was so proud of him because he made a great contribution for the career opportunity to people in this town...
Times pass by and our town got developed and changes, new generation are flood to the big cities to get more develop opportunity and old people stay in hometown, this is the general situation in China.
There are less and less people willing to work for hand makers. The traditional arts and crafts are getting lost. Less young people are willing to learn and develop the traditional skill. We live in a fast-paced society, fast work, focused on high profit's job.
I have been working for a trading company where I can meet a lot of hand makers. More and more factories were converted into a mechanical operation. The handmade industry is declining, traditional culture is getting lost.
My brother has worked with my grandpa since he was young, he knows how important it is to keep our traditional culture. So we work together and hope we can keep the weaving skill and traditional culture. We hope more and more people, especially new generations and young people can realize and admire it.
We travel around the country to search for good materials, learn traditional skills. We hope everyone who shops from our shop will like the products. Each item has their life and story.
